Youth Ministry: Grades 9-10
Jesus walked with his disciples. He taught them, he cared about them, and he was personally invested in each one of them, helping them to become the saints they were meant to be.
In this same spirit, the Youth Ministry program gathers every other Sunday from 9:15-10:05, so that youth are able to participate in Mass before or after class. We meet in the Faith Formation building located at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Parish.
Each session is lead by a qualified speaker who facilitates large and small group discussions. Our Youth Ministry leaders are committed to walking with teens on their journey through high school. Each teen is placed with a small group of 6-10 high school students as well as an adult leader.
The group meets to:
* Build strong and faithful friendships
* Explore Catholic tenets of belief
* Engage in service opportunities
* Attend faith-building activities
* Have fun!
Confirmation Preparation Program (Grade 11)
Confirmation, the sealing of the Holy Spirit within a baptized person, strengthens one's bond to Christ and His Church. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Confirmed should be active members of the Body of Christ who share Christ’s message of love and mercy with others, participate in the liturgy, and strive to live a life that brings glory to God.
We are all called to be saints (i.e: the very best versions of ourselves) and God wants to help us get there! The Sacrament of Confirmation is another occasion of God’s grace being poured out on us, so that we can be strong on this journey and help others along the way.
This year we will be running the Confirmation program for high school Juniors. The students participate in a Confirmation retreat and are asked to have accumulated 30 service hours by the time of their Confirmation. Juniors during the 2020-21 school year may sign up for Confirmation which will take place at Immaculate Conception Parish on Sunday, May 2nd, 2021 at the 10:30 a.m. Mass.
